BBC Worldwide is the main commercial arm and a wholly owned subsidiary of the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC).
BBC Worldwide required a meeting room management and room booking solution for their offices at White City. It was important
that the system would integrate seamlessly into their existing Microsoft Exchange environment. It was also a requirement
that the solution would involve a minimal learning curve for employees. Users would need to be able to book meeting rooms
directly outside the room and also from their Outlook interface.
Evoko Room Manager touch screens have been installed on the wall outside each meeting room. The screens display the
rooms availability at a glance, thanks to the green/red LED light. Meetings can be booked either directly at the touch
screen or via Outlook.
Concierge Booking software has also been installed on all user PCs. The Concierge Booking software uses the Microsoft
Exchange and resources as its booking platform so it does not require any additional SQL database.
Permitted users can book additional resources, catering and assign cost centres to rooms, all from within Outlook.
