In architecture and design, it is not only about using the finest materials, but also the vision and artistry in which the designer combines resources to create a truly magnificent structure.

After several years of intensive research and lab trials, Stewart introduced StarGlas, a revolutionary new rear projection screen to the market. The image quality StarGlas provides is absolutely stunning, even within environments where ambient light may be a concern. This ground-breaking technology is an industry first brought to you by Stewart Filmscreen.

At Stewart Filmscreen, our leadership in the screen market lies in the fact that we are not only innovators, but also offer precision projection products & solutions to provide unsurpassed image quality to audiences worldwide.

Up until now, projection screens have been considered only as a technology product. Stewart Filmscreen has crossed that barrier with StarGlas. Leading architects have identified StarGlas as a genuine building material. Glass stairways, retail storefronts, and lounge area tabletops are just a few examples of where this revolutionary screen can be utilized. StarGlas is also available in curved formats to match any custom building design.

StarGlas qualifies as safety glass, which means this innovative new material can be installed where this type of specially rated glass is specified in the building codes.

This revolutionary screen design allows for actual floor to ceiling video wall applications since StarGlas can be installed sitting directly on the ground, whereas ordinary glass must be placed at least 1500mm above the finished floor.

StarGlas 100

Many large-scale AV presentations, events, and visualization systems require edge blending, the ability to create a seamless image across a wide surface using more than one light source. The key to good edge blending is ensuring the overlap of multiple images goes completely unseen, so that the over all picture appears as one. While many projectors and processors are often used in edge blending displays, not all screen types fit this detailed application. Uniformity plays an extremely critical role.

StarGlas 100, specifically developed for edge blending applications, offers excellent white field uniformity and eliminates any potential ‘hot-spotting’. This screen option also provides for a wider angle of view, which allows it to work exceptionally well with multiple projectors.

StarGlas 100 Features:

  • Production Sizes up to 126″ x 204″
  • Peak Gain: 1.0 (+/- 10%)
  • Half Gain: 53°
  • Front Reflectance % Value: 2.7
  • Min. Thow Distance: 1.0 x Image Width
  • Engineered for Edge-Blending Applications
  • Standard Anti-Reflective (AR) Coating
  • Excellent Lay-Flat Quality
  • Qualifies As Safety Glass
  • Abrasion and Stain Resistant
  • Non-Combustible
